EA has fired off new screenshots of Grand Slam Tennis 2 just ahead of its launch this week.

Click to view larger image Similar to the likes of EA’s Skate games, the 360/PS3 title uses a combination of gestures and flicks on the right analogue stick to determine your shot direction, power and distance.

Announced back in August and set for release on February 10, 2012, Grand Slam Tennis 2 will also offer Move support on PS3.

If you were in doubt about whether mobile phones were a real force for gaming, today’s release of Grand Theft Auto III, the tenth anniversary mobile addition, should set you straight.

The popularity of the smash and grab game has not dimmed over the last ten years, and finally, mobile technology has caught up with the game’s capabilities.

The birthday edition features the full PlayStation 2 game set in GTA’s version of New York, Liberty City.

The game, where almost anything can happen as long as it involves car theft, is set to boot Angry Birds off pole position as commuter game of choice.

The new game is available on Apple iPad and iPhone for £2.99, and Android tablets and phones. Check your app store against the specs of your phone before you download.

Rockstar, the company behind the game, told Pocket Gamer that confirmed that the GTA anniversary edition game will not be playable on Samsung Galaxy S II.
